(I've asked a similar question here and got little response. Perhaps giclee prints are not too popular, or not too well-known in these forums. But if somebody knows some hints / tips, I would appreciate it.)

I need to get some giclee prints done on fine art papers (archival and/or rag and/or acid-free, etc.).

I need printer recommendations. Not "printers" as in business names, but makes and models. I will have a commercial service print them, but I want to know which printer and paper combos will produce the best results before I start shopping for the service vendor.

If giclee printing follows the same path as other printing, I would assume that most of the labs would have first Epson, second Canon, and third HP printers. I cannot find much info on the net about printer and paper combinations.

I recently ran across a company that uses HP printers and papers, and did not know HP had a presence in the fine arts world.

Any help would be appreciated. /Dan

find someone with an epson 9800 or 10800 and it'll look badass.

pretty much all home printer companies have a nice large format printer.

canon, hp, mutoh, epson, all have nice high end ink jet printers.

giclee = big ass nice quality ink jet print on nice paper

i have a 60 inch mutoh wideformat w/ 8 colors, works great.
