I have been searchnig in this forum for printer related threads and there are loads of them, but I cannot find the answer to the question I have.

I am looking to purchase a printer to print pictures bigger than 6x4 when I have a great or special picture which I want to frame and wan't control over the print. I was looking at the Epson R300 and the Canon i965. I don't think I require what the Epson R800 will give me, I am using a Canon 300D camera.

Can anyone comment on which you would buy out of these?

Thanks

Nick

Have not used the Epson R-series, but own the following printers: Epson 890 and the Canon i965 & i865. I'm assuming the i965 in the UK is the same specs as the i965 in Australia. (6 colour, 4800 x 2400 dpi print resolution, 2 picolitre, CD Printing tray. Have printed identical shots/same paper on the above three printers. While I would be happy with all three printers, when placing all prints side-by-side, the winner was the i965. The colours were true, clarity, and print were outstanding.

Canon i960 (US Model), I believe is only 4800 x 1200 which is the same as our i865.
