Always struggled to get CONSISTENT quality prints out of my Epson 1280 -always seems to produce varied outputs with much wasted ink and paper. Would like to hear feedback on the new Canon i9900 from Epson 1280 users for direct comparison. Any comparisons to Epson 2200 also welcome.
Many Thanks,

I went from an Epson Stylus Photo 750 to a 2200. I love the quality of the output. My prints match what I see on my monitor using the Epson ICC profiles and Spyder/Optical for my monitor.

i went from a epson 785EPX (i think) to an epson 2200
the 2200 is GREAT!!
i calibrated my monitor with the std adobe tool and use the ICC profiles that came with the 2200
i print output from my d300 in sizes up to 13x19 depending on the subject
papers include
office depot high gloss (cheap)
epson enhanced matt
epson lustre
epson velvet fine art (great but pricy)
i could not be happier with my prints
ink from thenerds.net at 8.50
