Help With Photo Record

I'm am new to digital photography, but not to computer software.
Unless I'm missing something, Photo Record does not seem to have any Preferences or Settings that allow you to preset the font characteristics of captions and text blocks, the spacing and placement of captions, etc.
I like PhotoRecords page backgrounds and frames, but each caption loads as Arial-20pitch and has to be manually changed for each photo. In addition, the caption is auto-placed under the photos (with alot of wasted space) and will not move where I want it!
Do you know if I have overlooked a feature.
Do you know of any better software with PhotoRecords features, but with template and preference settings?

In Photorecord, once you have got your photos on the page, laid out the way you want, right click on the photo, select [add text] and you should be able to change fonts and font sizes.
