cant switch to RAW mode on my 300d

I have tried to switch to RAW format to try them out, but for some reason my 300d option for RAW does not exist where it should (according to the manual).

i go menu, quality, and press set to get the drop down choices, but the range does not include RAW, just large through to small.

any one come accross this before ? or how to resolve it?

If you're using Auto (Green Box), the RAW option is disabled. Not sure if it's actually removed from the menu though...I never owned an oReb.

What mode dial function are you on. If you are in any of the auto modes you won't have RAW as an option, it will only be available in Creative Modes, i.e. AV, TV or M etc!
