I got my AB's folks.

Hey guys, I recently ordered an ABR800 w/ 56"moon unit, AB800, Large softbox, and a couple other things.

I've still got tonnes to learn, but luckily I have a friend who is occasionally up for a few pictures. These are my first shots with any of my AB units...


First was shot with the ABR and 56" unit shot straight on

Second was taken with the same unit camera right 3-4' higher than him angled down. Reflector was center below his waist, but it didn't really do much because I added to the shadows beneath his arms.

Hey Chris,

Nice shots. The second one is a little odd because of the very different tonality of the skin on the face and then on the arms. I would like to see the warmth of the arms on the face. If both areas had the same tonality it would probably be fine but something about it strikes me as a bit odd.

Having said that...great first shots with the ABR.
I'm hoping to have mine in another month or two.
