I was importing from two cards to day after the first card finished transferring I popped in the second one. when I switched the camera on all that happens is the red light on the back of my 30d just starts blinking very quickly.

After about a minute I turned my camera off unplugged the usb cable and turned it back on. I can view all the images on the camera.

Is this a sign the card has gone bad? Its a new card sandisk ultra II 4.0GB second time I've ever used it.

Any other thoughts?

Do you have a card reader?

I've had a similar problem with a cf card in a reader - turned out only the first image was actually corrupted, I opened the cf directory using windows explorer (in XP) and saw the first image was corrupt (x thru it in thumbs mode) deleted it, then tried downloading with EOS utility and they downloaded fine - don't have my cables handy or I would see if it works with just the camera attached - it should I imagine... didn't get any err messages when it happened, just couldn't move the images to the HD.
