Good shot! Very sharp. I'd like it more with the complete horse in frame.

As above, the action looks good but without all of the horse in the picture, it is incomplete. The stand rails are falling away to the right.
Plus no barrel's shown in a "Barrel Race Picture"?

Barrel #2 is usually the best barrel to get the 'classic' barrel racing shot at. #3 is great for the fun, really digging in and powerful shots. Barrel #1 most of the time is the hardest barrel to get a good shot at, even the professional riders have a hard time with that one; not enough rate, running past it, etc.
I like the action in the first shot without the barrel but I would have cropped it more so you couldn't see the horse's legs. Anytime I see legs 'cut off' in a picture it makes me want to SEE the rest of the legs. By cropping it that way you're putting more emphasis on what's going on with horse and rider, know what I mean?
Great shot with the barrel, too. I would have maybe liked to have seen it taken as the horse's front legs were up and reaching instead of under and getting ready to reach. But let me tell you, it's a fantastic shot! You should see some professional shots I've seen being sold after rodeos! Great job and good eye!

They say you're not going fast enough if you don't have to hold on! :D

Eddie, I was thinking something like this....
Not sure now if I like it cropped this way, I'm thinking the way the original is might just be the way to go ;)
