Hmm, I really quite like this. I'm a firm believer that the whole fish eye lens has been done to death in skate photography and this is a prime example of how great a tele lens can look in the sport. When used right of cource, which this is.

Nice shot. I am also a disliker of the fisheye shots. When I read the thread title i thought you had been taking photos while skateboarding! LOL. Show us some more!

wooo gordo.
i havent had the chance to use my 70-200 f2.8 for skate/bmx stuff yet. maybe i will today if the weather clears up.
photo is alright, might of nicer, later in the day with some flash work

Very nice shot. The angle you used gives a great depth to the stairs and handrail. Yes, when used right, and if the location is right, a tele-lens can yield great results for skate photography. Keep them coming.

Great job. I think the 70-200 works great when you have a clear open shot like this. Generally I find it's too long for anything close.

Nice work! I also will have to try this. I made the comment "I wish I had a FE" and a lot of people said the same as above. So keep at it! Sounds like the right direction! Show some more!

Good job! I've also been an advocate lately of the use of mid to long focal lengths instead of WA. It's nice to change things up a bit from the fisheye that you see a ton.
