Off topic 'The Lives Of Others' (german title 'Das Leben der Anderen') is a beautiful film. Watch it!

Probably yes, but why did they write it on the board like that? ;)

..of course not. It means someone has fallen on the tracks just as the train is coming in. It (sadly) happens in London, and that's how they write it. Some of the newer stations have a protective barrier that only opens when the train stops to prevent this accident (or suicide..) occuring

Sad story, but l guess the thousands and thousands passing that sign do not spend to many seconds thinking that.

It happens quite often. Sometimes its suicide and I'll bet sometimes its because the platforms are just so full and people like to push. The new Jubilee extension has an extra barrier which is far far safer but I'm not sure if it'll ever propagate to the other stations, most of them simply don't have the space

Olli, I like how you tied both photos together. Good eye as usual. In NYC sometimes there is that whacko that likes to push people onto the coming train, which is why I never stand cloe to the platform's edge.

Pleased also you noticed the connection between the pictures. - I'm not a frequent train commuter, but have to remember your advice if I end up to be in NYC ...

That happened while I was in town. I had to take a different train to connect back to the cirlce line so I could get to the London Hilton Paddington.

Just noticed 'circus' is not spelt correctly on the sign. I see that often

I'm surprised that they wrote the reason the train was suspended.

Hope you will get some nice shots there and that you are not considered as national risk when shooting these strategically important sites. ;) (I didn't have any problems.)

I'm surprised that they wrote the reason the train was suspended.Interesting indeed. Could that be a way to make the passengers more alerted?

Let's make public transport even more distressing.
Why not, "there's been an incident".

They use to say 'due to a customer incident' or 'due to customer action' and sometimes still do. Thing is, we all know what happened, why lie about it?

Unethical? Children?

I guess we can get away with more things out here. New Zealand is too politically correct, and I've probably been brain washed. :o
