All nice stuff ... but haven't we told you to number them before!!! I really like the feel of #1 ... not a shot I would have thought to take but it turned out sizzling. Say, do all breakouts look the same? :-)

They really do. You can mix them up with shutter speeds, but they are all basically the same general idea... a few guys stay put shooting, a few guys kinda walk and shoot and a few guys just start hauling butt.

Thanks though!

What, tumblemonths?:lol::lol: Just kidding ... I always avoided Mt. Home when I was in the Air Force (before you were born) ... but you'll have fun.

Haha Yea Mt. Home is a different sorta place...

You really have to have an adventurous side to enjoy it here.

I spend my weekends rafting kayaking hiking camping and playing paintball. And the occassionaly photography. :)

If you are ever looking for stuff to do, Ill hook you up with some kick ass things to do.

I really like the first shot, using the bunkers in the forground and backgroud is very effective and including the angle is great. I am not sure I think that sepia (I am guessing that is what you used) is the route I would have gone with this with all of the great shades of black and reds in the shot (I would have bumbed the saturation and contrast just a tad).

The third shot is also very nice. I would love to use the fisheye a bit more on the field but like in this case you generally need to crop the image (when I see a sports shot that has been cropped I always find myself wondering what the image looked like before hand.) The only way around cropping is to use a longer wide angle lens that has distortion (I love the look!) but I find that most of the photographers go for the flatter looking wide angle lens.

You mention MD as an inspiration I am guessing that you mean Matt Dawson AKA MattD, he is a great photographer and even better photoshopper (he is a friend of mine). Matt is now shooting motorcross because it pays better and I think he finds it a little more exciting. I think we will be seeing him back on the field for the end of the season.

Great stuff overall keep it up.

Michael

Yep. I was reffering to Matt.

And he mentioned that he was into the MotoX thing more because of the money.

The paintball industry is just really full of cheap people.

A team wante to "hire" me to take pictures of them at a tournament, and said they were willing to pay me 20 whole dollars for a cd with all the images I took.

Im not that great of a photographer, but I know 700 images are worth more than that...

I try to stay away from shooting paintball too much...

Don't ever say that I really liked the shots a lot they are better than most I see (and trust me I see everything put in front of me).

The point I was trying to make was the shots are so good you do not have to "make" them better.

Matt takes thousands of pictures and has choosen to show only the top of the heap, I on the other hand am such a big fan of all of the kids and I know the kick they get out of seeing anything with them in it. I miss having him on the field because he motivated me so much to push the envolope and ever since the LA Open I have been missing the push.

Keep it up, I look forward to seeing more.

Better than most paintball photographers. You are one of the few paintball photogs whose work I actually enjoy looking at. :)
