Ec-Series Focusing Screens

It looks like there is quite a bit of space (2-3 mm) between the "prism" and mirror on the 300D when the mirror slaps up taking a picture. Plent enough room for the focusing screen.

Does anybody have any idea if a focusing screen is adaptable to the 300D. This could come in really handy when I use my Olympus OM1 lenses.

I don't believe it is on either the Rebel or the 10D. You can only change them on the 1D-series.

The Ec focussing screens replace the original screen in cameras that support them. Adding one to a Rebel or 10D would only mess up your viewing and general operation.

It also screws up the display of the focus as you effectively move the fresnel screen forwards with it being thicker. I have a couple of alternatives for my 1D, but honestly prefer working with the one supplied.
