Drifting & Mini Roadracing

Here are two images from my weekend. I started it on Friday with a call from Infineon Raceway to come out and shoot some images for the local newspaper. I shot over 300 images in a little over 4 hours. I next went to Stockton Motorplex for some night practice.

Nice shots! Did you use a flash during the pan on the biker?

Yes I did with a slow shutter speed. The camera was set on manual at 800iso and 60th of a sec. The drift shot was shot at 100 iso and 250th of a sec. The camera I used was a Mark 11N and a 300 2.8 for the drift shot and a 28-70 2.8L for the night images.

Both of these are really neat. I find the first one especially impressive because it can be extremely difficult to get a nice action shot with that poor of lighting.
