Has anyone ordered from these guys? Their reseller rating looks pretty good and they have both of the lenses that I want in stock.

Opinions are appreciated.

I ordered two lenses from 17th Street Photo this morning at 9:16 AM (PST). At 9:19 AM I received an e-mail confirmation that the order had been received. At 11:41 AM I received an e-mail from Fed-Ex stating that my package has been processed and will ship today!

I am having it sent via Fed-Ex 2-day service and will hopefully have it for the weekend!

Truly top notch service so far.

when i search on pricegrabber they come up quite a bit
and ratings are pretty nice
i will order from them if I ever need

I have gone directly to their retail store to buy a G2, 10D and several lenses. When B&H was out of stock on several items, I found that 17th Street Photo had them at comparable prices. The sales people are knowledgeable, and I would expect their mail-order operation to be excellent

Love 17th street photo!!!

They don't have a storefront so they can sell thier lenses in a much cheaper price (compared to B&H, Adorama).

I think I already bought 3 lenses from them.............Excellent service.

They have prices comparable to Adorama/B&H, but when it comes down to customer service and the speed of service, they're hard to beat...also, they're very legitimate.

Another favourable vote for 17th Street Photo. They are very accommodating for Canadian customers. (help minimize exposure to brokerage fees and taxes)

They are located at 34 West 17th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. I believe that is Chelsea

Yes.......I think between 5th and 6th avenue.

CAUTION: There is no storefront........you need to be buzzed in to enter. It's on the 5th floor I think..........Have to go back and forth to make sure I was on the right place.

I have purchased from them within the last 2 months and received the order next day (Fed-Ex overnited requested) right on time....I will continue to shop with them :D
