Belmondo - How do you like the 28-300L?

Unless I've missed a post, you haven't shared your thoughts on your new lens with us.......I for one am quite anxious to know what you think of it. Come on, please do tell........

No, you haven't missed it. I'm hopoing to get some pictures shot in the next day or two and then post them shortly thereafter. I'm going to be out of the area, staying in a hotel with only a dialup connection available. That will be a little bit of a problem, but I'll try to deal with it.

Initial impressions of the lens are pretty good. I was hoping for something amazing, and I suspect it's only going to be excellent. That might be nit-picking, but for $2,500, it's not unreasonable to want amazing.

I will get back to you all as soon as I get a chance to play with it.
