Not a sharp as I would like but I'm generally pleased with the results from my new lens, Sigma 70-300 APO. These were taken a hour after the lens arrived and I'm sure I will get better at using it.

I've had two of them for pets. In fact, an easter chick may have been what got me to loving birds in the first place. Henrietta live to be 8 years old. ;)

Thanks,Trevor. I'd love to get out and do just that. I'm taking a group owling Monday night and am going shorebirding with another group on Thursday so maybe I'll get some shots.

Those are quite sharp. I've had great shots with mine. With good frontlighting the pictures are quite impressive with this lens.
Congrats on the new glass, I know you'll enjoy it as I do :D
