I got an online gallery at Zenfolio. I keep telling myself I got it for my business, but I see a lot of stuff that I want to share. I am an aspiring automotive photographer / racing photographer, and I wanted a place where customers could look at their cars and decide what they liked and then purchase it.
I have been deployed a couple times, and I have amassed a decent collection of photojournalism style photographs. I know it may be a pipe dream, but one day I would love to shoot for a magazine like National Geographic or Time. One day I will be a combat photographer in the Air Force!
Anyway, is it ok to put so many different styles photography on one site? I don't want a potential customer to be put off when they come to look at cars and they see photo journalism stuff mixed in with all my pictures.
But on the same hand, what if I want to submit my gallery to a local newspaper to showcase my photojournalism skills. Are they gonna want to see all the other stuff, is it not professional to have an online gallery anyway?
Am I just worrying about something that isn't really a problem? Give me your suggestions please, and sorry for all of the questions in one site.
