Ok... the title may be misleading ...
I'll explain what I mean...
If you had to give a rating to a picture, say 1 = best, 100 = worst, how would you applay it?
Example :
perfect subject, perfect technique = 1
perfect subject, bad technique = 20
bad subject, perfect techinque = 50
bad subject, bad technique = 90-100
That's how I would rate it, with all the graduations between...
To shorten it : what's more important? subject or technique?
Or is this too simple?
Are there other notions?
My thoughts are : I want to expand 'Black and white' to 'from black to white passing through all tones'
I hope you understand what I mean...

By subject I am guessing you are meaning the creativity and idea behind the photo. If I am guessing correct then I agree with you, subject is somewhat more important than technique. Its easy to learn technique, much harder and rarer to come up with original ideas for subjects. To get both right in a photo makes me go WOW.

exactly, I prefer picture with good subject and bad technique to a picture with bad subject and good technique
But I'm interested in how other people think about it, and by these means extend my view of the whole picture

If I like it I like it... no numbers involved.. I avoid math at all costs..

You can make very boring photos with perfect technique and very interesting photos with far from perfect technique. To me, a very interesting photo with bad technique is better than a boring but technically perfect photo...
On photo.net, you can rate photos on two points: originality and aesthetics. What those two mean exactly on photo.net is explained here (http://www.photo.net/gallery/photocritique/standards/).

i favour creativity over technique.. but then most times you need the technique to get creative... is that a valid answer?
if an image gives me visceral action.. it is a winner!
