I've been reading the forum for a while now and thought I'd try my luck. Here is my series of photos I took on a mile drag of a Ferrari that was competing. Critique is more than welcome!

On to the pictures:

Cool shots. Lots of orange peel for such an expensive car. :)

Handmade cars are rough around the edges like they are supposed to be. These shots display that wonderfully.

Isn't orange peel just from substandard painting? I don't see any reason that a car like this should have orange peel. I've shot a saleen s7 and a 599 GTB and the paint was flawless.

Great Shots!!

Who cares what the paint looks like, have you ever driven a Ferrari? The engine noise alone makes you forget what the color of the car is it's so soothing.

Good effort, keep at it, but a shot of the full car would be nice once in a while? ;)

You mean that the clearcoat over top the paint was flawless. Any car can have this if you wet sand it and polish it.

Handmade cars are either rough or overly finessed. I'll take a 612 Scag with all the flaws any day.

I would take one too in a heartbeat!!

And to wetsand and polish it will take away a lot of the clearcoat, and do it enough times to remove swirls and such, and you will need a respray.

Great shots..shows the attention to detail of the car.

First thing I noticed was the paint also, not something I would have expected.

Thanks. As the sun was very bright at that time and the car was constantly crowded, I didn't manage to get a proper shot of the whole car. I'll try better next time :P

i wouldnt touch one

how can driving a high performance car be a experience when it has a auto box and traction control. takes the fun out of life and turns it into any other mass produced car with expensive leather seat covers

nice pics tho keep at it

I like the pics and it's a beautifully designed car. I love how you caught the texture of the leather dash in the 2nd pic.

in the forth photo you have a silver foil bag of soem kind by the gear shift. and this is a newb mistake. I know I;'ve never done cars so far but its an EYESORE. and it takes away from the target photo which is the gearshift. Just remember for next time.

it's not a newb mistake if it's not your car and you are just shooting it. Can't really hop in and start poking around. Maybe that photo isn't the best, but if he wanted a shot of the gear shift you can't do anything else.

Yeah .. if I went to remove that bag of gum, I probably would have left with a big blue eye :P But thanks anyway. I know I'm still a newb.
