ever tried climbing a hill with a one speed bike? for 5 miles? goddamn that was hell. there was a nice downhill section but then MORE CLIMBING. it was my first and last time on this trail. my bike is for shuttle runs not cross country sh!t. well we were finishing up and leaving the park but took a breather to watch the sun set and i took the opportunity to snap a little 'lifestyle' shot for my mountain buddies.

I like the colours; but, man you're crazy climbing with on gear. I hope you guys had some lights for the ride back ;-)

i was hating life for a good 45 minutes. :]
the descent took only 5 minutes at the most because it was sooooooo steep and sketchy. we're talking 45° and one big rock garden of a trail with switch backs and natural drops scattered about. extremely technical. i bailed once, hitting a rock and jumping over the handle bars, saving myself from an endo. i had my camera in the camelbak so i was freaking out hoping i didn't cause myself any damage.
