Please could you help?
I have just purchased a 1D, which I use with the 550EX, my problem is when I use the camera in AV mode and the flash in manual, the camera sets the shutter to the max sync speed (500), is this adjustable??
Likewise when I put the camera on TV and the flash in manual the aperture is set to its maximum (32)? It is only in manual on both that I am able to get what I’m after but as I'm using the camera in a waterproof housing some of the time it is very hard to adjust the settings, and the panel that senses the distance for the flash is partially covered.
Basically I’m after certain range with the flash and have the camera able to expose for varying backgrounds.
(In Manual, AV or TV and ETTL mode it all works fine allowing me to expose the background and then fill in with flash.)
