I have a bit of problem I can't seem to figure out how to resolve. The photos look much brighter in CS3 bridge and photoshop. When I save it as jpeg and open in a web browser, it is significantly darker. I saved the file as sRGB.
I am guessing there was some color/monitor setting in CS3 I didn't set properly, suggestions?
See below example, picture on the right is how it appears in bridge and photoshop, left is the image saved as JPEG and re-opened using MS picture viewer.

How do I resolve the discrepancies? Suggestions? Thank you.

Photoshop calibration.
Go to Edit > Color Settings
Mess around in there =P.

If you calibrated with hardware such as Spyder2 it will probably be different since PS is color aware and most other apps such as the net are not.

hmm... thanks for the information, and I've made adjustments and nothing seems to help.
I changed the profile to North America (sRGB) and synchronized in CS3 (bridge/photoshop). And while there's consistency between how the picture appears in the various CS3 applications, the minute I save it as JPEG and push onto the web, it's significantly darker...
this is frustrating, what could I be doing wrong?

And yes, I use Huey PRO... Would that make a difference? I mean, the images are displayed side by side on the same monitor - if the calibration is wrong and make the image dark, shouldn't it also appear dark in the CS3 application?
I am not sure what to do anymore, other than arbitrarily make the image seems brighter in CS3...

Might be Windows Fax and Picture Viewer that has color problems. Does the photo look different in FireFox or IE ?

Actually, the way it looks in firefox and IE is the same as the windows picture viewer...

I have a hueyPRO calibrated to an Apple Cinema series monitor and don't see any noticeable difference between viewing in PS, WinXP or Fast Stone image viewer. If anything the WinXP is a very minuet brighter than the other two.
