I have a CF card that was corrupted - I think I may have removed the battery from my camera without switching off.
The card had no image files, but had very little sapce left, so I simply used chkdsk to reconstruct the file system. It was able to recover most of the files but not their names. I have files FILE0000.CHK, FILE0001.CHK, etc.
I can distinguish the CRW files from the THM files based on size. I can view the THM files by treating them as JPEGs and I can view the CRW in CRaWFish, so I can match files and reconstruct corresponding pairs of THM and CRW files. So far so good.
Unfortunately, the Canon image converter cannot process the files. I get a "no images" message on the screen
Anyone got any ideas?
