Here is a question to carry us through the Friday afternoon...well its Friday afternoon where I am ;)
What music, if any, do you listen to while taking pictures andwhile playing in the "digital darkroom"?
When I am out and about taking pictures my music selection depends on my mood. It can range from opera to folk to industrial to rock to goth. Yet, when I am in the digital darkroom/computer room/table-top studio shooting or editing I always turn on the iTunes and click on a specific techo radio station. It doesn't matter the mood, weather or subject of what I'm working on, it is always the same techo station streamed from Europe. With this in mind, I don't go to raves or anyhing like that..it's just the music gets me going in my small space.
What about you.

I find music distracting when I work.
I can concentrate better without - so I normally only listen to music when I want to relax. Then, it's mostly Jazz or classical music.
But that's just me.
Best regards,
Andy

It really depends on my mood. I don't listen to it when I take pics. After a hard week or its Friday night Saturday and I am out and about then I like Classic Rock and Roll. For the other times I like classical and sometimes Jazz.
Oh I like talk radio very much too. Even more with the comming up election.

To be honest, the only time I listen to music is when I'm driving. And I listen to a little bit of everything, except for rap. :)

I too do not listen to any music while taking photos or working in my digital darkroom. I like the quiet to concentrate.
When I do relax, I like classic rock and the blues.

I don't really put anything on while I am working on the computer. But for some reason every time I go out looking for things to shoot I put Massive Attack on in my car. You would think this would put me in the right frame of mind to take moody shots, but it isn't working!

If I wanna get really into my work I let all my Crystal Method albums play, which is all of their albums , starting with Community Service .... Its nice, kinda puts me in a trance and I can really focus.

My entire cd collection converted to MP3 plus a few gigs I downloaded in the "good old days" of Napster. All set to shuffle and played thru my Klipsch computer system speakers. Sound's pretty good and I enjoy the variety. If a song I'm not in the mood for comes on, it just takes a mouse click to change it. I agree with "better than listening to the phone ring".

While I'm working in the 'Digital Darkroom' which is usually in the evening's I tend to listen to Internet Radio (just love Broadband).
I used to live in the Northwest of the UK for many years, and listen to Key103 in Manchester. With the time difference I am actually listening to the breakfast show in the evening (How weird is that ...)
