any ways to improve the shots?
is the selective colouring on picture 1 too much or too little?

I love the coloring in # 1, but I think # 3 is my favorite. These are great pictures.

Great photos, selective coloring on #1 is a decent application.
#2 however, i don't much see the purpose or intent of coloring the two objects that you did.

hi thanks for your comments...would you have left number 2 all black and white? I thought by colouring the jack russell it would focus on the intended object, however i agree i shouldnt have couloured the flowers , got a little carried away i guess.

you've already focused the attention very well with the background and front blur. although that shrubbery in the left corner isn't terribly desirable

..great stuff. ..love #1, and #2 especially. .....all great pics though, nice work.

#1 is the best of the lot IMO. It would look great even without selective coloring. The Dog is looking straight into the camera which is great.
#3 is good too but I would have composed it vertically. The white pole in the background, right above the dogs head, is distracting to me.
