s45 nightshots

I own a Canon s45 and wanted some help with my night shots. Is it possible to take clear shots at night without a tripod and not the blurry rubbish i am producing. I would appreciate any tips on this matter. Thankyou.

A tripod will definitely improve your results. I made some nice shots using a wall or other objects to put the camera on.
Try to use the timer function of the camera - this will prevent you from moving the camera while the shutter is open. This helps a lot.
