My eyes are starting to go, so here is my question:
Is there any visable or other difference between "Flatten Image" and "Merge Visable" ???
I have a hard time telling any difference.
Thanks in advance to any PS rocket scientists willing to help!

Yes, there is. Flatten will merge ALL layers, whether they are visible or not. Merge Visible will, as the name suggests, only merge those that are visible. It can be very useful for merging edit layers while keeping the background layer unchanged.

Goootcha!
Thanks Mitch, I did notice that flaten was NO qestions asked, it just ironed everything together, and I know about "Merge visable" But you answered my question as to any visable differences.
Thanks for the comback, I appreciate that!
Have a great weekend.

No there are NOT any visible differences between "Flatten Image" and "Merge Visible". However, as slejhamer stated earlier, there are differences in what these two layer functions do in terms of processing the different layers.

OK fella's now for $1000 dollars in cash and a free vacation.....!
I feel like a moron.... I have been using PS for 2 years and NEVER had this occurance, but now for no reason that I know of, my my Rectangular Marguee too is rounding the edges instead 90 Degrees like I am used to. I know I bumped something. How do I un-do this, I have read ALL the PS help and there are NO idications as to what I may have done!
I do appreciate this forum and all the nice helpful people, like yourselfs, more than you'll know.
Thanks
