I am not sure how I feel about these two shots. Wanted to get you guys feed back.

#1 some flat downtown Fort Lauderdale

#2 A statue in Plantation Florida

PS

Decided to throw this third one in the mix. I wanted to crop it on the left side to even out the picture and throw a border of some sort around the picture. I suck at P.S. so not sure how to do all this. Anyway wanted to get feed back on the over all picture

on the first I'd personally add a high pass filter on an overlay layer in photoshop and make it punch a little more, as is everything is high noon bright.

mark,

Thank you, I am not 100% sure how to do that though. I have CS3 and also the software that came with the camera. Which do you think is best to use for all of this?

well if you took it in raw play with all the sliders and if it's jpg, copy the bkg layer and apply the high pass filter with a radius of 5ish, and set that layer to overlay, it'll pop edges and the higher the radius the more saturation will come through.

Mark, why not work in ACR regardless of RAW or jpeg?

i like the third one best, the top two just dont have enough shadows to give the pictures some depth. id come back later in the day or really early morning and reshoot.
