I'm thinking about switching to mac... I'm looking at the 15"MBP and am wondering if the 2.4 is that much better than the 2.2. Also, the graphics card would be better on the 2.4 than the2.2. Am I able to run 1600x1050 with the 2.2 or even 1900x1200? Thanks again

The graphics card won't determine the resolution you can view on the 15" screen. It's definitely not 1920x1200 That was an option just made available for the 17". It will support a 30" external thought. Something like 2650xsome other number or something...

`I know I cant run 1900*1200 on the screen itself, but I could run that on a supported external monitor? if both systems have 2gb of ram, will I notice much of a difference between the 2.2 and the 2.4?

.2 ghz gets you nothing you'll ever notice.

"See blacker blacks, whiter whites, and many more colors in between on a brilliant 15.4-inch, 1440-by-900-pixel or 17-inch, 1680-by-1050-pixel digital display."

It looks like the 17" only supports up to 1680x1050. Although... is that not enough for a 17" monitor? Like someone mentioned before, you can always use a big external monitor.

17" has an option for 1920x1700. That's even better, trust me. Going from my 17" Dell to the 15" MBP has it disadvantages when it comes to needed screen space.

Agreed. That extra money is better used to buy more RAM

Cool.... I figured it wouldn't make much of a difference, but just wanted to clarify it. Oh, BTW, The resolutions I'm talking about running would be on my external Dell 2007wfp Thanks again everyone.
