You grow rather hefty guys in TN! But I guess the petite wimmen make up for it. :-)
Your images are a bit soft ... do you sharpen after resizing? You might want to read the FAQ. Also, it is easier if you number your images so they can be referred to more easily.

I'm with Dwight. To soft. Color is nice though.

What were your settings? My first thought is this was hand held at a slow shutter speed. Change your ISO to a higher level and shoot at a faster speed. Rest your elbows on the seat in front of you if you don't have a tripod. Low light is tough, huh?

OK here's my exif data.
#1 ISO 400
Shutter 1/125
Aperature 2.8
#2 ISO 800
Shutter 1/100
Aperature 3.2
#3 ISO 800
Shutter 1/60
Aperature 4.5
#4 ISO 800
Shutter 1/125
Aperature 3.2
#5 ISO 800
Shutter 1/250
Aperature 1.4
All shots were taken in TV mode and it was tough shooting with the stage lights as they would darken and lighten and I was always adjusting my shutter speed to compensate.

Hm. I'm guessing that at 1.4 or 2.8, your DOF may be part of the problem from that distance. I'm not a big fan of noise (grain), but maybe you need to go as high as ISO 1600 with a mid range aperture — maybe 5.6 to 8? Many lenses are at their best focally at mid-ap.
Good luck!

Thanks,
Since it's fair season here I'll get out more and try more shows and just do some testing and maybe learn a few things.
