If you're observing the other threads here, there's a lot of interesting new Canon lenses out there...
- 85/1.5
- 24-70 f2
- 70-200 f2
However, I think the coolest will be
- the 70-200/.28
- the 500/1.8
Most likely, they'll be unveiled at the Photokina... can't wait

Andy

Its one of the new lenses that Canon will unveil at Photokina. It will have a blue stripe and will be classified as one of their new "Type-O" series.

Is that a model designation, or an indication of the blood that you'll have to give up to get one?

There are no pictures for the 70-200/.28 yet.
However, there was a picture of a prototype of the 500/1.8 lens in the thread where it was mentioned first:

Notice the blue color that stands for Canon's all new 'XO' (X-treme Optics  )lens line.
The monopod is optional.

Forgive me for stepping out of character and being serious for a minute, but I think the following:
Electronics are cheap to make. Good glass is still very expensive. I expect to see more non-opitical types of improvements. Look for Canon to bring out more of their existing lenses with upgraded IS. I'd love to see a EF400 f/5.6L IS. Think of all the lenses they'd sell to the people who already own the non-IS versions?
Blue. Hmmmm.

... the "Fabled" 70-200mm f/28 Zoom

Actual size.
Notice the smooth turning zoom ring.. the lens is so small the polarizer slips on via sheath over the end.. makes it easy to rotate....

Blue. Hmmmm.
Whoops - blue was a typo!
There's an orange ring on the Type-O. ;)
