Hi guys,
This forum was very informative when I was looking around for what D-SLR to purchase. A coworker recently purchased a Nikon D70, and with a kid on the way it rekindled my interest in getting a DSLR. I had no idea that they had gotten so inexpensive!
For re-learning and re-kindling my interest in photography (I used to love photography with my Dad's Film Nikon SLR when I was a kid) I got the 300D, was inexpensive ($800 with lens at BuyDig!) and am ready to learn!
I've already shot some great pictures with the "beast", and am pretty impressed with it. No amount of fancy doodads on higher end DSLRs are going to replace composition, and the 300D has all the tools I need to capture those precious moments with my child.
So I plan on learning, and you guys are some of the best tutors out there :-). I ordered the Digital Photography for Dummy's book on the recommendation of some on this forum, and we'll see how it goes from there. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have some decent pix to share :-D
Thanks again!
