Sometime while underground in a spot only big enough to crawl through underneath a hospital, I must have bumped my camera twice, once into the line above the on spot, then once on the wheel until it was at +1 exposure compensation. I have about 100 pictures from that confined space and a kayak trip before I noticed I screwed up. I have photoshop 6.0 what can I do, is there any way to just tell it to readjust the exposure down one? Thanks in return, and yeah I know I am old school on the ps6 but I am poor give me a break.

jpeg or raw? You can download Lightroom 1.1 from Adobe. They give you a free trial for 30 days. No restricitions. You can bring them all into Lightroom and adjust them all at one time.

I honestly don't remember photoshop 6, so I don't know if it has batch processing capabilities, but if it does, you can create an action that decreases the brightness on one whole folder of files.

I'd do the Lightroom route, but it is up to you.

Try this,

In Photoshop 6, duplicate the layer, then set the "blend mode" to MULTIPLY and adjust the Opacity as needed.

OR Try This,

Using the Magic Wand selection tool and select the areas that are too bright. Then go to Select>Feather and put in a value of 100. Once you have the whites selected then press CTRL+C then CTRL+V to copy the selection onto a new layer. Now set the blend mode of that layer to Multiply. That should tone down the whites. Flatten and if needed then go back to the first suggestion and do that as well.
