Up in Denali National Park, they have a "road lottery" each year at the end of the tourist season. If drawn, you are allowed to drive your personal truck 90 miles inside the park. Normally you have to ride a bus and therefore you are at the mercy of the bus driver. I have been drawn after trying for about 5 years. I'm pretty excited but now comes the planning. Should I try to concentrate my efforts in a few key areas or should I try to cover as much road as possible? It would be great if I was able to get in during the night to maybe catch the northern lights over McKinley. Hoping the snow holds off until this trip is in the books!!
