What is a good P+S digital for concert?

Hey all! I want to buy a new P+S digital for my upcoming concert next month. I know a SLR will be much better for low light concert. But I don't want to take the chance for spending a thousand dollars and won't be able to bring the SLR into the show. So I'm looking for a P+S which has closest quality to SLR. I heard good reviews on the G series, but I also heard that they are not so good on ISO over 200. My price range will be 500-800. Any suggestions? Thanks! :D:eek::lol:

I think some of the Fuji have excellent high ISO performance.

Best to ask on a wider board like DPR or Fred Miranda. Folks here are pretty much centered on Canon.
