Any idea why the who's online has been disabled? Not a big deal to me really, just noticed and was wondering...

Pekka removed it because he noticed that the code that pulled that information from the database made bad queries that could have a performance impact.

Thanks for the reply...not sure exactly what "bad queries" means, but it is good enough for me. It was not that big of a deal, but was a good tool to see who was looking at what. Thanks :D

Maybe that was the real reason it was disabled, I don't know about you, but I don't want people knowing exactly what I am doing on this forum at any given second.

Huh? What I am really talking about is the ability to see if anyone is currently viewing your threads or not. It actually comes in handy on the games threads, where you are posting a picture for people to guess, and sometimes it will be 2:00 am and you have just posted a picture. So, I will check the who is online thing to see if anybody is viewing that specific thread. I could not care less what you or anyone is doing on the forum.

Which I don't understand because if you post something, people will see you are still online. That and if you look at your profile, it will still show how long ago your last activity was.
