So I gave it another go just now.

Shutter speed was 10 secs for this using the self timer on my 400D. Light source was a blue led fob.

Just a lil LED keychain fob like below. Nothing big.

Where were you standing? In front of or behind the camera? Because it looks as it would have been exposed enough to catch you in the shot if you were in front. Unless it was completely dark and you kept moving around frequently.

It wasnt dark. I had a softly lit lamp with a canvas shade beside my bed so the room was lowly lit.

You can see me in the pic since this was only 10 seconds. Im the shadow in the bottom right. Hard to make out but I was there.

Ahh. I SEE now. I see where your hands were moving to create the drawings and I see where your torso was. Cool lol. Nice work as well. These are very aesthetically pleasing.

Those are cool. If the second was a bit longer in length it would remind me of that cell phone commercial. Not to put down your photos in any way mind you. ;-) What did you use to make the videos like that? Did you use your camera's rapid shot mode?

i like the second one on the first set cause the shadow of you almost looks like a ghost conductor

Well the pics were different attempts at the perfect picture. First animation started with a short shutter speed, then slightly longer etc. Just used ImageReady to put them together.

I thought so too. I didnt expect that but it was due to a white top. Should have realised. This is all just experiments for now.

These are pretty cool! I tried doing this a few days ago with an LED flashlight ... I'm dimensionally challenged though, and I kept "writing" over letters I already "wrote" lol

@ Charles.

I know what you mean. I had to plan out how much space I had before trying it out. Also best thing to do is practice practice and practice. Its EVEN harder to create shapes that resemble an object.

It would be really cool to outline a person with light.
