I have been hired to take pictures of the local high school band. We will be positioning 100 students on the football bleachers with the sun behind them.
I own 2- AB800's and was wondering if anyone would have knowledge if this would be sufficient to help bring out some detail in the students and the black uniforms?

I will be using a rebelxt and renting a wide angle lense. Thanks in advance for any input you might be able to give me.

The B800 w/ 7" reflector has a guide number of 172 feet per their specs.
Two of them will have a combined guide number of 243 feet.

Guide number divided by distance equals the aperture (at ISO 100) for correct exposure.
If you know the distance you can figure out what aperture will be required.

Just remember, if you stick umbrellas on those lights, then the guide numbers go out the window.
