I'm looking at getting some tee-shirts printed with my advertising on them. I have one so far and it cost me $18 which I think is a bit expensive. Does anybody know of any online places that will do say 5 - 10 tee shirts a lot cheaper than $18 each?

Also, does anybody know of any places where I can get a fairly plain waistcoat such as this: http://www.yeomansoutdoors.co.uk/products.asp?partno=MA717. I need to source it from a US supplier and then get my advertising printed on it (hence it must be a light colour).

Try to find craft classes in your area that do silk screening?

Find a promotional company local to you and have them do the shirts and source the vest. It's quick and frees you up, they can often offer good pricing even on small orders, but the main reason...they have a lot of contacts and might be happy to talk you up!

Actually, I decided to go to embroidme locally. It's $18 per shirt but now I wrangled better shirts out of the guy :D

He'll print at $5 per shirt and the rest of the price is the shirt. I could provide my own but I didn't feel like driving over to Goody's for cheaper shirts.

Mine?

I went for a single orange tee-shirt with my logo in black on the back and front. Then I went for different coloured polo shirts with my logo back and front. I didn't want to go for a single colour. Actually, I got a great deal on blue polo shirts as the guy had a batch of the wrong colour that he was selling a few dollars cheaper just to shift them.

Plain text. It says:

The top and bottom lines are smaller than the middle two.

I would invest in a graphical logo before I spent $18 a pop on T-shirts.

I don't like graphical logos. Besides, I'm all about honest and unpretentious.

Having a graphical logo isn't dishonest or pretentious. It's more pretentious to call having a logo pretentious. Kinda like anti-L snobbery.

If you're trying to be unpretentious, I would avoid any kind of branded promotional clothing.

I think it's kind of tacky.

There is a place that does amazing embroidery here. They can stitch just about anything a needle can go through. How about hats?

That's true but with vehicular and clothing advertising I'm getting coverage in areas that I actually frequent.

I have Ts & gold shirts with my company name. In black, that way they don't show dirt if I end up on the ground for a shot, and black offers a professional look. I wear them most times I shoot and even when I'm not, weddings are exceptions. I'll need to add a couple of sweat shirts and a jacket as the cooler weather approaches.

I come from a corporate marketing background where branding is VERY important. When you're in business for yourself you ARE your brand. Personally dressing consistently in comfortable and tasteful logo bearing apparel shows professionalism just like any uniform does. Think about the identity of the brown dressed driver of the brown truck that delivered your last B&H order ;)

Professional doesn't equal pretentious IMO
