I was surprised at how tolerant this Green Heron was, normally very nervous. I startled it when I walked up and it landed on a nearby sculpture at the local gardens. The last two are the same bird after it moved to a nearby tree at the pond's edge. The water reflection helped with some needed fill light. Canon 5D / 100-400L / Tripod

Nicely done. I have one who comes around to my usual birding spot as well.

Very nice shots Steve. there are tons of them here this summer, and they seem to be pretty mellow. Not nearly as shy as they have been in the past. :)

Nice shots Steve. We have a few that visit the rookery, they are usually very relaxed around people.

The ones by me are not mellow at all, you just look at them and they fly away, lol. Fantastic shots!

Steve, this is very nice photo. I have some too but they are almost unrecognizable because they never get close. Excellent, enjoyed, Anna :)
