Does anyone have any tips on shooting fireworks with my rebel?

Im not expecting spectacular results, this is simply an excuse to use the camera :P :P :P

We've covered that pretty well within the last week or two.

I have been taking fireworks photos for the past few years and they are getting easier and easier to shoot. what I do is set my camera on a tripod, use M mode and set camera's shutter speed to Bulb. I also manually focus on the first few blast and keep it at that with the camera set to f8 and ISO 100. Usually I hit the shutter button as soon as I hear them take off, I keep the button pressed down until I get a few bursts in the frame. Usually the shutter is pressed for 8-10 seconds. Here is a link tp some I took last night...Dean

I just shot some fireworks for the first time with my Digital Rebel and found that using "BULB", f/8 and ISO 400 worked good. You can check out samples at www.terrysdigitalphotos.com look under East Stroudsburg fireworks.

The neat effect of that image was a result of camera shake.
