Took this photo on one of my many nature trips years ago. It was taken with a small auto focus analog camera I borrowed from my father (don't even remember the brand or model) as I didn't have a camera back then. The last camera I owned before that was stolen and I never bothered to get another one since my father has a few. It's scanned from a print, heavy photoshopped to bring out the green. I thought it turned out ok, considering the source. What do you guys think?

I look at this and the first thought that comes to mind is the movie The Deer Hunter _ not bad for a scanned image, kinda gives a feel of solitude.

Thanks for the comment.
Yes I can see how the shot resembles the locations in Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand where part of Deer Hunter was shot...

Welcome!
Nice shot. For me though it's a bit too "centered" and a bit too soft.
Looking forward to more.

can't help it as I was travelling in a moving (and rocking) rickety little boat when I took this shot. I only had time for 2 shots before the boat moved behind some foliage, and the other shot turned out blurry. I did think about cropping it but I didn't want to lose the reflection, or end up with an odd-shaped photo :(
The softness is due to the image being scanned, and being imported and exported numerous times. Maybe I can redo it if I can find the negative...

Understood, thanks for the background info.

Don't I know the problems with that. I have a whole slew of photos I took two weeks ago in Guatemala that I am disappointed in because of the problem of shooting from the boat.
That and I didn't have my CPL with me at the time.
