I signed up to smugmug a few weeks ago and I must say it's fantastic. The support you get is A1 and there is a great community from www.dgrin.com. If you give it a try use this to get $5 off when you sign up SLVgd.GuxYvW2 www.smugmug.com
Will post my website when it's finished

Smuggy's cool. Once you're up, sharing/posting photos will be a real snap!
When you're ready.....
Go to the DGRIN thread for Photo Association -- There you'll see some amazing stuff.

i can't believe how easy it was to get a good looking website up and running and the support is fantastic. It's worth paying the few $ for everything you get. I use to use flickr but didn't realise how bad it was until I saw smugmug :D

I have to agree. SmugMug is the best thing since bread (Sliced or otherwise). I've been using it for my site for 5 months and just got my first sale the other day. The level of customisation available is fantastic. Highly recommended.

If you are a non professional smugmug looks pretty good but if you are a professional wanting to have photos printed through smugmug and you don't live in the US I found there are some serious flaws with smugmug and following correspondence with them smugmug have these priorities very low on their list of priorities to fix:
1 - you are only able to display prices in US dollars which is less than ideal if you wish to price in your domestic currency
2 - they will only pay by cheque no electronic funds transfer - this one I find totally unacceptable for a web based business - to deposit a cheque from a US bank into an Australian bank account it takes 28 days to clear the funds
3 - the time it takes for payment is rather slow and when you add an additional 28 days on top for your funds to clear into an OS bank account it's totally unacceptable.
If smugmug addresses these issues then yes I would agree with the OP that smugmug is fantastic - until then I would rate smugmug as acceptable but well short of fantastic.

It's great for the uk with the rate the $ is now. the pics are cheap and delivered in a few days. Lots of people in the UK have ordered prints from smugmug and they're delivered vary quick. Not sure what you mean about payment, never had any problems

If you are selling prints as a professional (setting your own price for customers to order) smugmug withhold your funds for a certain time and then will only pay by cheque which is a long drawn out process that is held up because their cheques are drawn in the US. Totally unacceptable for a digital business in these days of Electronic Funds Transfer and also totally unacceptable that they will not allow you to price your work in your local currency. Smugmug have told me that none of these points are a priority - they offer a professional package which has some serious flaws when you live outside the US.

Are you running a pro account and selling prints to clients through smugmug? These issues only apply in that instance.
