Curious.. How many weddings have you shot WITH a Videographer?

Im really curious... Of all the weddings you do in a year, how many of them would actually have a Pro Videographer? How did you find working with them? Where they as proficient in their work as you are with yours? Better? Worse?? Why???Did you share ideas with each other and bounce ideas across, or was it a competition? Reason i ask is that here in Aus, only 80% of weddings will have a pro photogrpaher. of those 80%, only about 10% (if that) would have a pro video. Im just curious as to peoples take on this... thoughts?

Over here, there aren't many weddings with videographers until you get into the higher end market. And the videographers can be jerks or the nicest people you meet. It will vary just as much as you find snooty jerk photographers and nice ones.

Some try their best to work together with you, some don't give a crap and are right there getting into ALL the pictures causing headaches.

great thread... working with pro videographers atleast my past experiences has been ok. They understand the importance of your job and theirs... I find it more difficult to shoot with family members following you around and being on the background of a few pictures. They don't see the fact that it makes your job much more difficult.
