The only Eagle I got close to at Campobello Island, NB Canada last week - shot w/ the 500mm f4 on a BushHawk - Saw several Eagles daily but at a distance. c/c welcomed - Bob Malbon

At take off the bird circled the tree it was perched in giving this head on view

This is my favorite because of the OOF Spruce limbs adding texture and mood.

I like the entire body shot in #3.really shows the size of an eagle!

Nice series here and I would love such an opportunity. The few times I have seen one around here, they are so far up that binoculars are usualy the only way to tell what they are.

The third one may not be the best of the bunch but it gives the best impression of just how big these birds really are - wow!

Thanks to all for the comments. Brandon the 500 is about all I could deal with on the BH. One good thing is that it keeps me in shape pumping L Glass. When I get older I will get a gimbal head for my walker! - Bob

Great shots... i was there a few weeks ago.. waiting to see one... didn't happen... i guess there is a time of day to go when they are there.
