Just a few pictures I took wandering around while the 4th of July parade was taking place. Please let me know what you think...this is the first "event" I've brought my camera to. People kept asking me what newspaper I worked for. I guess my DSLR w/battery grip and hooded 75-300 USM IS lense looks the part :cool:

they were all pretty good, but i loved the last one espically. great capture.

Actually, I like #2 as well but I think it could be improved if you brightened the guys face a little. His expression is great; He looks so happy to be there! :D

I like the first. Very sharp. Bright strong colors but not too much (imo).

The third, I'd make a tighter crop.

The last is my favorite. Perhaps you could try blending to reduce the brightness of the background.
