Here's some of my favorites from the past couple of weekends; all shot around Melbourne. Critique would be much appreciated.

and lastly, how can I reduce the intensity of the distracting white part in this image? the burn tool in CS3 doesn't seem to work on completely white sections!

i like shot 4 the best (the book). lotsa kewl looking shots, must be fun to walk around abandoned buildings.

In CS3 you can use the quick selection tool. Create a duplicate layer, use the quick selection tool to select the area of the photo you want to work on. Here I adjusted the exposure/gamma, this made the window kind of pinkish. I then created another layer and desaturated the color and adjusted the opacity. This photo may also be better in B/W.

You can do something like this....give the affect of broken windows panes.....:)

Really cool shots! For #1 I like the BW version, the building really pops out in front of the clouds.
My favorite shot is #5.

I used the select tool in CS3 and highlighted each section and changed the contrast...little tweak here and there, glad you liked it...:)
