Up until now I have been using Blurb for my books.. my prices were so low that I couldnt throw in an expensive book, plus my clients loved them.
In 2008 I am coming up in my rates and I want to adapt my books to it. Now do you guys know of any books that are better than Blurb in Quality but not quite as big and expensive as Asuka?

How about Zookbinders? They have a new coffee table book that looks great and doesn't break the bank.

Wow! 50 pages is a thousand dollars. Don't think that's what she's looking for.
s4tm, doesn't Polis have a site for this?

I use Sarlo Albums - Their reportage ones are excellent quality. All are hand made in Italy and very easy to deal with.
There website isn't the best but service and quality are up there - at the moment they have an offer of all 3 sized digital albums for use as samples at $300

Join the Photographer's Program at SharedInk. There is a free 45 day trial period. Their books in that program have a higher quality paper than Blurb's, and the printing is very nice. I've used both and really prefer SharedInk if I don't mind spending a little more money

I 2nd Shared Ink. Right smack in the middle between Blurb and Asuka for about 1/2 the price of Asuka. I used them all last year before I brought my prices up to Asuka level.

I truly liked what Shared Ink had to offer, but I didn't like the fact that they charge for their "Photographers' Program." I really wanted to order their album with the lucite cover for one of my brides, but I'm not going to pay an album company a fee just to use their products. I don't have to with Zook, Bon Match, Picto Books, Graphi, or Asuka, so I'm not going to pay extra to use Shared Ink. And it's a shame because their pro level albums are very, very nice.
