Hopper left something behind

200120Was trying to focus on this grasshopper when i noticed he was pushing something out the backend. The way i see it there are 2 options as to what it is. Either an egg of somekind or ..... can anybody tell me for sure??

Grasshoppers and crickets lay their eggs just beneath the surface of the soil so I am willing to bet you captured #2...literally!
