Hi
I just wanted to know how you are using your lightboxes now that we are deep into the digital age.
I would like to know of good practical uses for them now we no longer need them to view transparencies.

eBay? Never owned one, but I'm sure there could be some creative uses. A ground-level light source for some small-object shots?

Simplifying post processing, mostly. I never had the patience to sit and draw paths in photoshop. Instead I shoot all my product on a light table so I get a pure white background.
Only problem is it leaves no shadows. So you can just go in and paint in the shadows freehand... much much quicker than dropping backgrounds with paths, channel, masks, etc.

I've been shooting for over 40 years... I have a HUGE body of work of transparencies and negatives, both in 35mm and medium format. I still use my lightbox for the original purpose. Occasionally I want to scan a slide or negative, so I use it to view them before scanning...
